Mesuro system solution is based on integrated hardware and software modules
introducing for the first time waveform engineering at high frequencies.
The system modules include:
- Wideband receiver: the sampling oscilloscope is capable of capturing simultaneously
all signal components within a frequency range of DC to 67GHz with effective 12 bit
accuracy and a dynamic range of up to 50dB.
- Wideband signal generator: the arbitrary waveform generator synthesises fully
synchronous waveform shapes for the input and output of the device under test. It
enables the simultaneous harmonic source- and load-pull through the active control
of the current and voltage waveforms at the measured device. The synthesised waveforms
include spectral components up to 6GHz, when using both outputs separately, or up to
10GHz in interleave mode.
- RF and baseband test-set: the test-set allows for the contactless detection of the
current and voltage waveforms and an interface with the active source and load pull
system while providing bias to the device under test. The RF bandwidth of the test set
is 1-12GHz with an optional extension to lower frequencies for the measurement of baseband
signal yielding an over bandwidth of 100kHz to 12GHz.
- Integrated Software tools: s-parameter calibration and measurement, absolute
calibration for accurate measurement of waveforms, enables computer control of the
entire system for effective and automated measurements and display, control and
analysis of measured waveform signals
The measurement solution enables the emulation of realistic signal conditions at the
device under test during an early stage of a development and design cycle. It effectively
eliminates lengthy build-and-test iterations to verify the final performance of either the
device or the power amplifier circuit by emulating these conditions already during the
characterisation and design stage. The provided current and voltage waveforms give the
designer direct access of well establish amplifier concepts and introduce an unequivocal
guide throughout the entire design process to significantly increasing the probability of
first-time-success.
